SNOW!

Nothing like a good snowstorm and big news to share to revisit a blog that hasn't been touched in almost 2 years. This week we had the biggest snowstorm we've seen since we moved to Charlotte. At our house we had approximately 8 inches of snow and a bunch of ice mixed in with that. Schools (along with the rest of the city) were closed Wednesday- Friday. We played outside Wednesday for awhile, but the snow was crumbling as we tried to make snowballs so we just ran around in it instead. After all the ice/rain Wednesday night the snow that fell Thursday morning was much better for snowmen and snowball fights so we went back out on Thursday to play. I would love to say that the rest of the time I have been super productive around the house, but it's just not the case. We have had a lot of play time and cuddle time, but not much work has been done.

Snowman on Thursday
It was a fun few days! However, we are all ready for it to melt now. The temperature for next week is a high of 65 to 70 so it shouldn't be long before it's all gone.
Other new news to share is that our family of 4 is expanding to a family of 5! Lohaus baby #3 is due on June 22, 2014. We decided not to find out if baby is a boy or girl so it will be a surprise for all of us. Madelyn will be 4.5 and Carson will be 2.5 when baby arrives. As long as he/she holds out until the end I should be finished with work for the summer (June 10th is the last day with students). There are so many more things I could update or add, but it's time to get together some dinner. Happy Valentine's Day everyone!
