Fall Fun

So Madelyn is officially a walker now. She doesn't do it all the time because she knows she can still get places faster by crawling, but she can do it. She likes to test the waters every time she moves away from a table or toy and takes five or six steps, but then falls down and starts to crawl. She likes to walk back and forth from me to Andy. When we stop she starts crying until we go back to her little game. She is so proud of herself, and she should be :) She is also talking a lot...baby is her new favorite word. She calls everything baby, including Clyde. She says it so clear!
We have been doing lots of fun fall things. We went to the pumpkin patch and got a pumpkin, played on the play ground, rode on baby tractors, watched pig races, and took a hay ride. It was lots of fun to show Madelyn all these new things. We didn't leave the house during this time last year so it has been a lot of fun for the 3 of us to get out and enjoy Fall. Today we went and had Madelyn's first birthday pictures taken. I decided I wanted them to be outdoors and have all 3 of us in them. I wanted the photographer to snap pictures capturing genuine family moments and I think she did a great job! After those we went back to the studio and got a few of just Madelyn in her birthday dress. She was tired and not really up for it, but we managed to get enough good pictures to make me happy! I can't wait to order them and get them back :)
Tomorrow we are going to carve our pumpkin and watch some football. Last year we put her in hte pumpkin. We talked about maybe doing that again this year (our pumpkin is big enough) but she is a lot stronger and may fight us on it. We don't want to make her too mad... Tomorrow evening I will put Madelyn in her butterfly costume and take her trick or treating. I'm sure we won't be out long, but I want to at least take her for a little while.
